With a passion for creating image-driven spaces that reflect each client's unique culture and image, Kathryn enjoys the challenge of collaborating with clients to help them realize their vision, and has enjoyed many long-term, repeat relationships throughout her career. Skilled in all aspects of the programming, design, finish and furniture selection and specification, and project management processes, Kathryn utilizes her expertise to help keep the team focused on the critical path steps that are necessary to keep the project moving forward. Having experience working in large corporate interior design firms prior to founding K2S studio in 2015, Kathryn brings the expertise that is gained from working with highly qualified teams on complex projects with multiple user groups and tight schedules. In addition to a passion for excellence in design, Kathryn understands the importance of adhering to and understanding the limitations and requirements of codes for accessibility and fire life safety, and approaches each project with the diligence necessary to satisfy these requirements, while keeping an eye toward providing a space that adapts as the occupants' needs evolve.
Past project experience includes organizations and institutions such as California State University, Northridge,
University of Texas, Hanna Barbera Productions, Warner Bros., IBM, Fidelity Investments, as well as numerous mid-size professional firms, with an average project size of 40,000 SF.
